  1. Scope of Representation: Attorneys for NYC Ticket Defense will provide services reasonably necessary to defend [CLIENT’S NAME] at a contested hearing for the following citations [TICKET NUMBER(S)], including representation at a contested hearing and negotiating on Client’s behalf. This Agreement does not include representation of Client at any other hearing beyond the initial contested hearing.
  2. Attorney Fees: Upon submitting Client's case, Client agrees to pay a flat fee to be calculated as follows: $179 base fee for representation to contest a non-criminal traffic citation. If the traffic ticket has more than one count resulting from the same incident and issued to the same person, the base fee will be increased by $70 per extra count. For example: a simple speeding ticket would be $179. The same ticket with an HOV charge in addition to the speeding would be $179 + $100 = $279. If ticket is more than 15 days old the cost of the first ticket is $250 to cover the costs associated with determining the status of client’s license and reinstating it if necessary.
  3. Other Costs/Imposed Fines: Client agrees and understands that any actual fines imposed is the sole responsibility of the Client.
  4. Termination: Either side may terminate this contract within two (2) business days of the execution of this contract without penalty. If attorney cancels during this period, client’s funds will be refunded within 7 business days Client understands that they have read the Clients Rights and Responsibilities and may terminate the Attorney/Client relationship with Attorneys, at any time for any reason. Should the relationship beterminated prior to the conclusion of the case, Client agrees to pay Attorneys for their time at a rate of $200.00 per hour, not to exceed the flat fee agreed to above plus any reasonable and customary costs incurred by Attorney related to his representation of Client. Client also agrees to waive any objection to Attorney’s withdrawal as Client’s attorney if withdrawing would be in Client’s best interest.
  5. Payment: Client agrees to simultaneously pay Attorneys the flat fee agreed to above, and further agree that that the fee fairly compensates Attorneys for their time.
  6. Condition of Agreement: Payment of the flat fee agreed above is a condition of this Agreement, and no Attorney/Client relationship can be formed without payment of this fee and confirmation from the attorney.
  7. No Guarantee of Results: Client acknowledges that Attorneys make no guarantees regarding the outcome of any contested hearing.
  8. Cooperation of Client: Client agrees to keep the Attorneys advised of address and contact information and to cooperate with reasonable requests of Attorneys.
  9. Law to Govern Agreement: It is agreed that this Agreement will be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. All disputes arising from the subject matter of this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the New York County (Manhattan) courts.
  10. Final Agreement: This Agreement represents the final and mutual understanding of the parties. It replaces and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral. This Agreement may not be modified, amended, or replaced except by another signed written agreement of the parties.
  11. E-Signing: Both sides recognize e-signature as valid and legal consent to the terms of this agreement. By providing an e-signature below, Client affirms their assent to the agreement outlined in these terms.
